This young man was born April 5, 1877 in Madison County, Iowa, but for the past seventeen years he has lived with his grandmother, Mrs. John Trester, at Ord, Neb. This young man was born April 5, 1877 in Madison County, Iowa, but for the past seventeen years he has lived with his grandmother, Mrs. John Trester, at Ord, Neb. Last spring he removed to Bonesteel, SD and from there to Spencer, Neb. He was a nephew of Mr and Mrs D. Tracy of our town. His mother Mrs H. N. Smith of St Paul, Neb with his uncle, A. Trester and his grandmother, Mrs. John Trester of Ord, Nebraska, were with him in his last hours. The body was sent to Cedar Rapids and a large number of sympathizing friends of the family were at the train to meet the funeral party. From thence they went to Sunrise cemetery where all that was mortal of this young man was laid in Mother Earth. Mrs. H. N. Smith, Clara Smith and Nelson Smith came across the country from St. Paul, Neb., to attend the funeral. Cedar Rapids Outlook
