Born in Caldwell, Idaho, Aug. 13, 1910, he spent his early life there and was graduated from Caldwell schools. He married Jeanne Champlin Jan. 6, 1932, at Pendleton, Ore. They made their home at Yakima and in Caldwell for seven years prior to going to California where Mr. Platt served four years as an Army flight instructor. Mr. Platt was a member of: the First Presbyterian Church, Wenatchee; Chelan Valley Lodge No. 118, F & AM and served as master in 1961-62; Charles B. Reid Council No. 14, Royal and Select Masons; Columbia Commandery No. 14, Royal and Select Masons; Columbia Commandery No. 14, Knights Templar; El Katif Shrine and served as president of the Lake Chelan Shrine Club for two year. He was deputy to the Grand Master of Washington, District 21, for two terms, 1962-63 and 1963-64. Surviving are his wife, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Thompson, Bellevue; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Morris, Boise, Idaho; and one grandchild.
