Andrews Allen Raymond Andrews, son of Major and Jennie Scott Andrews was born in Coin, Iowa on October 10, 1913 and departed this life at the the Clarke County Hospital on January 24, 1968 at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 14 days. His family moved to Creston, Iowa when he was small and he received his education in the Creston Public Schools. Andrews Allen Raymond Andrews, son of Major and Jennie Scott Andrews was born in Coin, Iowa on October 10, 1913 and departed this life at the the Clarke County Hospital on January 24, 1968 at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 14 days. His family moved to Creston, Iowa when he was small and he received his education in the Creston Public Schools. He served in the armed forces during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post in Osceola. He was married 3 20 1947 to Ruby Kilgore at Creston, Iowa. They moved to Osceola in March, 1948 where they have since made their home. Allen was in the produce business for a number of years and in recent years worked as a service station attendant at stations on the Four Corners. He loved to fish but his main hoppy was directing persons to their destination via the best quickest and exact mileage route. He will be greatly missed by all for the he never knew a stranger, but his courage and patience during his long illness were a source of inspiration. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 27 from the Webster Funeral Home with Rev. John W, NcCallum officiating at 1:30 p.m. services. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery with the Osceola American Legion Post in charge of military services at the cemetery. Contributor: Ken Baker
