Description	:	Allen was born on Dec. 17, 1938 in Clinton, the son of Glenn and Harriet (Henricksen) Petersen. He graduated from Miles High School in 1957 and attended Clinton Community College. Allen married Lavonne Peters on Feb. 8, 1959 in Clinton. He farmed his whole life. He was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council; the Low Moor Lions Club, where he enjoyed cooking; and the Clinton County Beef and Pork Producers. Read More	Allen was born on Dec. 17, 1938 in Clinton, the son of Glenn and Harriet (Henricksen) Petersen. He graduated from Miles High School in 1957 and attended Clinton Community College. Allen married Lavonne Peters on Feb. 8, 1959 in Clinton. He farmed his whole life. He was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council; the Low Moor Lions Club, where he enjoyed cooking; and the Clinton County Beef and Pork Producers. He was a pioneer in Clinton County to use the “No Till Farming” method, which is still done to this day. He was also a seed salesman for the Mycogen Company. Allen enjoyed going to the Goose Lake C-Store for coffee each morning; fishing with family and friends; his family fish fry; spending quality time with his grandchildren and going to their sporting events; and hunting, especially for coyote. Allen had a gift to be able to talk to anyone and was a loving man who “never met a stranger”. He will always be remembered as a proud man, who was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Ray Raser, and a niece, Tammy Petersen.
