Description	:	OBITUARY OF ALLEN RUSSELL Allen Russell was born June 2nd, 1829, in Venango county, Penn., moved to Iowa in 1861, and died at Pittsburg, Iowa, Jan. 31st, 1917, aged 87 years, 7 months and 24 days. He was married July 4th, 1853, to Louisa Perry, who died April 2nd, 1859. To that union two children were born, Perry, who resided in Vancouver, Wash., and Wilson A., who died about two years ago. June 26th, 1859, he was united in marriage with Nancy E. Brent, who departed this life Jan. 7th, 1916. To this union were born five children, Elizabeth, who died in 1902; Sarah L. Gardner of Ottumwa, Iowa; Aaron of Montana; Simon G. and Allen of Pittsburg, Iowa. Mr. Russell united with the M. E. church at Lebanon, and gave his services to the building and repairing of several churches of the county. About a year ago he was badly hurt by a fall on the ice, and from that time was a constant sufferer, until his release came on the evening of Jan. 31st, when he passed to his reward. Uncle Allen was a good neighbor and his removal will be felt by a number of friends. The funeral services were held in the Pittsburg church and the interment was in the Pittsburg cemetery, Rev. J. J.
