A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Silha Funeral Home in Beach, North Dakota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beach with Father Russel Kovash officiating. Read More	Allene Ann Atchley, age 77, passed away on January 8, 2015 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson, North Dakota. Allene was born in Beach on January 13, 1937 to Albert and Lillian (Foster) Allen. She was the only girl born to the couple in the family of eight boys. Allene was raised in the Westerheim community. She was educated in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beach through the eighth grade and then attended public school until graduation in 1954. After graduation, Allene attended college and received a degree in drug and alcohol addiction counseling. Upon graduating, she started work as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor for the state of North Dakota for several years serving in Devils Lake and other towns in North Dakota. Allene married Daniel Thompson and to this union their two sons, Daniel and Kevin, were born. They divorced and she later married Ken Atchley. Allene is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Kirk Thompson; her parents, Albert and Lilian; and seven of her brothers. Allene is survived by her son, Kevin Thompson of Glendive, Montana; brother, Ben (Denyse) Allen of Colbert, Washington; a half-brother, Eric Justeson of Belgrade, Montana; and two grandchildren.
