Description	:	After her first husband Chauncey Messenger was killed in Pennslyvania, Allie with her five children packed up and moved to to Conrad, Pondera County, Montanan. Here it is said she homsteaded a place and paid for it by feeding the farmers around her. She met Chris Ostrom and married him in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1910. Her parents were Edgar & Ester M. (Bacorn) Canfield. Her mother died in Tioga County, New York in 1880 and her father died in Cortland County, New York in 1926.
