She was born Jan. 31, 1907, in Yadkin County to John and Harriet Vestal Brown. She was a graduate of Boonville High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Charity Baptist Church. Read More	Obit: BOONVILLE - Mrs. Alma Elizabeth Brown Bowen, 93, of Clyde Road died Friday, March 31, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 31, 1907, in Yadkin County to John and Harriet Vestal Brown. She was a graduate of Boonville High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Charity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curtis Bowen, a grandson, Jerry Macemore, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Dorothy) Bowen of Yadkinville, Frank (Doris) Bowen of Boonville, Donald (Gloria) Bowen and Clara (Worth) Macemore, both of Yadkinville; eight grandchildren, Dennis (Jean) Bowen, Bonnie (Allen) Lassiter, Dale (Glenda) Bowen, Rebecca (Dave) Brewer, Janet (Ronnie) Hennings, Marta Bowen and husband Larry Zettler, Kristy Bowen and Julie (Don) Horne; 12 great-grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Bowen, Joy Bowen, Jeffrey and Shannon Lassiter, Brandy and Chance Bowen, Lee Southard, Brian Brewer, Nathan Hennings, Jamie and Jennifer Macemore and Olivia Horne. The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Charity Baptist Church. The body will lie instate 30 minutes before the service. The Rev. Ralph Stanley, the Rev. Cecil Wetherholt and the Rev. Jack Nance will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Gentry Family Funeral Service on N.C. Highway 601 N. in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Charity Church Road, Boonville, NC 27011.
