She was the wife of the late Charles E. Young. Born Jan 20, 1906 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Charles And Minnie E. Gaver Bussard. Mrs. Young was previously a member of the Mount Zion Church, Feagaville and the Ladies Aid Society of the Church. She was a longtime member of the Mount Zion (Haugh's Church) Evangelical Church, Ladiesburg. Mrs. Young enjoyed her family and especially listening to her boys play music. She liked to attend the Bussard family reunions and the Great Frederick Fair. Surviving are seven sons, C. Meredith Young of Frederick, H. Edwin Young of Feagaville, Marion F. Young of Ladiesburg, Merle F. Young of Frederick, Paul R. Young Sr. of Feagaville, Grayson A. Young of Frederick and Richard W. Young of Frederick; two daughters, Betty M. Kauffman of Mountaindale and Dorothy M. Bailey of Lake Wales, Fla.; 33 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a dear friend of Mrs. Hasty in Ladiesburg. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by one daughter, Thelma E. Moore; one son, Harold E. Young; three grandchildren and one great grandson. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, from 6 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday, Dec 10 and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday, Dec 11. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, Dec 12 at 1 P.M. The Rev. Parris C. Beckhardt will officiate. Interment will be in the Luke's Cemetery, Feagaville.
