Wimbourne District Pioneer Died at Innisfail Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Enphemia Benedict, who died in the Innisfail Municipal Hospital on May 3th, 1959 were held Thursday from Duffield's Funeral Chapel. The late Mrs. Benedict was born in Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia, over 84 years ago. She came to the Wimborne district 49 years ago. At the time of her death Mrs. Benedict was living in Innisfail. She was predeceased for her husband in 1942. She remarried in 1945; Mr. Benedict died in 1951. Surviving are; two sons, three daughters, 16 grandsons and 29 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bruno deLeeuw and Rev. D. Strangway. At the funeral service Rev. and Mrs. G. Blenkhorn sang 'The Pearly Gates Will Open'. Pallbearers were six grandsons.
