Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Thursday morning, May 5, 2016, in the St. Stephen Evangelical Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery directed by Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening. Mrs. Humbert was born May 24, 1943, in St. Stephen, SC, a daughter of Cornell William McMakin and Louise Carr McMakin. She was a member of the St. Stephen Evangelical Church, and was a former sales clerk for Barry’s Department Store in St. Stephen. Mrs. Humbert loved her cats, listening to blue grass music, and square dancing. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Gail McMakin, and was the widow of Robert Lee “Rock” Humbert. Surviving are, her mother of St. Stephen; two sons, Mark Eugene McMakin and his wife, Darlene, of St. Stephen, and Todd Andrew McMakin and his wife, Katherine, of Tyler, TX; three step daughters, Linda Barnette and her husband, Michael, of Russellville, Carol Truesdale and her husband, Bill, of St. Stephen, and Robin Huxford and her husband, Tim, of Russellville; two sisters, Robin McMakin of St. Stephen, and Inez Radcliff of Lexington; two brothers, C.W. McMakin, Jr., of Moncks Corner, and Dean McMakin of St. Stephen; eleven grandchildren, Matthew (Taylor) McMakin of St. Stephen, Mark McMakin of St. Stephen, Elizabeth McMakin of Tyler, TX, and Emily McMakin of Tyler, TX, Layne (Darla) Barnette of St. Stephen, Stacey (Kevin) Dupree of Cordesville, Thomas (Tami) Barnette of Cordesville, Frankie (Terry) Truesdale of Russellville, Andrew (Beth) Truesdale of Abbeville, Jordan (Helen) Truesdale of Simpsonville, and Ty Huxford of Russellville; and nine great grandchildren, Nolan McMakin, Zoey McMakin, and Liam McMakin all of St. Stephen, Wade and Waylon Truesdale of Russellville, Alex and Madison Dupree of Cordesville, and Silas and Seth Barnette of Cordesville.
