Description	:	Alma Spears passed away Sunday, March 16 at Spencer Hospital in Spencer. Alma Jeane Beck Spears was born to Karoline Olesen Beck and Joseph S. Beck on May 18, 1915 in Greenville. She graduated from Greenville Community School in 1932 and worked at various homes until her marriage to Leonard Spears on March 5, 1933 in Northwood. Alma devoted her ife to being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Throughout their marriage they lived on their farm in the Greenville area. Read More	Alma Spears passed away Sunday, March 16 at Spencer Hospital in Spencer. Alma Jeane Beck Spears was born to Karoline Olesen Beck and Joseph S. Beck on May 18, 1915 in Greenville. She graduated from Greenville Community School in 1932 and worked at various homes until her marriage to Leonard Spears on March 5, 1933 in Northwood. Alma devoted her ife to being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Throughout their marriage they lived on their farm in the Greenville area. Upon Leonard's retirement they continued to live on the farm enjoying friends and neighbors. The coffee pot was always on and garden produce was shared with any visitor. Alma was a lifelong member in the Grace Congregational Church of Greenville and took an active leadership in both the Ladies Fellowship and the Sunday School. Her greatest contribution was embroidered tablecloths donated to the annual God's Portion Sale. Her favorite social activity included a special birthday group. Alma moved to Spencer in the summer of 1994. She became a resident of Longhouse Nursing Home on June 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard, two sons Richard and Clifford, and three siblings Anna Hugunin, Joe Beck and Naomi Schuller.
