Description	:	ELLENBORO Mrs. Alma Jeanette Harris Greene, 74, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Hospice at Wendover, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1928, to Rev. Lee Baxter and Ocie McCraw Harris, and was one of 11 children. She was employed by Doran Textiles at Esther Mill for more than 40 years, retiring in 1992. Read More	ELLENBORO Mrs. Alma Jeanette Harris Greene, 74, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Hospice at Wendover, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1928, to Rev. Lee Baxter and Ocie McCraw Harris, and was one of 11 children. She was employed by Doran Textiles at Esther Mill for more than 40 years, retiring in 1992. She was a lifelong member of Campfield Memorial Baptist Church, where she supported the many ministries of the church. Jeanette was an avid reader who often had a book in hand; and she loved to have family, extended family and friends come to her home for meals. She and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time at Lake James with family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, B.J. Harris; sisters, Mary Jo Jolley and husband, Garland, Lucille Harris Curtis and husband, Charles, and Frances Harris Bridges; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Harris and Betty Harris. Burial: Campfield Memorial Baptist Church.
