She married Wilbur Smith, the love of her life at the Catholic Parsonage in Crawford, Nebraska on June 17, 1939. Alma was an amazing, strong, unselfish woman who loved to care for everyone around her especially her family. She loved cooking, playing cards, crafts and gardening. She loved the ranch and all the gatherings from the Holidays to the brandings. She was very active in the community as a teacher's aide in Belmont, a Grandparent for the Crawford grade school and she loved the Senior Citizen Center. Alma is survived by her sister Betty Grove, 3 of her children Richard Smith, Linda Morrow, Bill Smith along with 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 1 brother, 2 infant brothers, husband of 54 years, Wilbur Smith, and her children Sharon, Larry, and Duane. ROSARY Monday February 7, 2011, 6:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.FUNERAL SERVICE Tuesday February 8, 2011, 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.Burial will be at the Crawford Catholic Cemetery.
