Dr. Bill Hunter officiating. Mrs. Space was born Jan. 5, 1903, to Martin and Christina (Jacobsen) Larsen in Kearney County. She grew up on the farm southeast of Minden. Services were held Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hunter officiating. Mrs. Space was born Jan. 5, 1903, to Martin and Christina (Jacobsen) Larsen in Kearney County. She grew up on the farm southeast of Minden. On March 14, 1925, she married Lester Space. They farmed in the Campbell, Upland and Minden areas until retiring and moving into Minden in 1966. She altered clothing for many people and did other sewing and crocheting. Her husband died in 1968. She was a member of United Methodist Church and the Methodist women's groups in Minden. She also was a member of the Daneville Club and several card clubs. Survivors are one son, Dale of Minden; two grandchildren; three great--grandchildren; and four great--great--grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
