Description	:	MARDELA SPRINGS — Patricia Bacon, 85, of Mardela Springs passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Woodrow Willard and Thelma (Carey) Willard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton "Shug" Bacon, in November 1998. She was a graduate of Mardela High School and Salisbury Business College. Read More	MARDELA SPRINGS — Patricia Bacon, 85, of Mardela Springs passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Woodrow Willard and Thelma (Carey) Willard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton "Shug" Bacon, in November 1998. She was a graduate of Mardela High School and Salisbury Business College. She retired from Mason Paper Co. after more than 20 years. Pat was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church in Mardela Springs. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Roelma Chapter 113, O.E.S., American Legion Auxiliary Post 237 and Women of the Moose Chapter 1208. She is survived by sister, Marita W. Watts of Aberdeen, Md.; sisters-in-law, Betty Galeone of Pocomoke City, and Charlotte Richards and her husband, Jack, of Aburndale, Fla. Also mourning her passing are a niece, Susan Bacon of Mardela Springs; five nephews, Steven Bacon and his wife, Joyce, of Salisbury, Craig Galeone and his wife, Donna, of Selbyville, Michael Galeone and his wife, Becky, Barry Galeone and his wife, Donna, all of Pocomoke City, Scott Richards of Salisbury and Jeffrey Whayland of Salisbury. Helen Whaley and Trish Martin and several other very caring and compassionate caregivers also mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Glenn Lyburn. Interment will be in Mardela Memorial Cemetery in Mardela Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Emmanuel Methodist Church, PO Box 126, Mardela Springs, Md. 21837; Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802; and/or the Mardela Springs Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 299, Mardela Springs, Md. 21837.
