Read More	Harlan Tribune Harlan, Iowa Tuesday April 13, 1993 page 4B Aimer Hansen, 95 Nov. 28, 1897 - April 4, 1993 HARLAN — Aimer Hansen, son of Hans Peter and Katherine; (Ludwicken) Hansen, was born Nov. 28, 1897, in Harlan. He died April 4, 1993 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital, Harlan, at age 95 years, 4 months and 7 days. Feb. 7, 1923, he married Nina Mildred Grabill and to this union one son was born. After their marriage they farmed in the Redline area and also in Center Twp., until they moved to Harlan in 1943. He was employed as a mechanic in local garages, and later drove bus for the Harlan School District until retirement. They spent summers at their lake cottage in Spirit Lake. Mrs. Hansen died in 1969. He continued to live in Harlan and moved to the Baptist Memorial Home in July of 1987. He later moved to the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Harlan and a member of the Odd Fellow's Lodge. He played the saxophone in a group of family and friends for various occasions over the years, and played for the residents at the Baptist Memorial Home white living there. In addition to his parents and his wife, Nina, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lial, and 3 sisters, Carrie Brodersen, Nikoline Long and Louise Sunderland. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Elvin (Red) (Violette) of Harlan; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held April 6, 1993 at the Pauley Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Kahle, Interim pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan officiating. Burial was in the Bowman's Grove cemetery, Shelby county, with Lynn McCord, Charles G. Grabill, Floyd Jensen, Don Callender, Clifford Pedersen and Gene Callender, casketbearers. Pauley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
