Hicks Davison, the daughter of Robert and Mary Ellen Hicks, was born on October 7, 1865 at Ladoga, Iowa, and passed away at the University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, November 18, 1944, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 11 days. She was united in marriage Feb 14, 1889, to Jackson Davison who preceded her in death. Hicks Davison, the daughter of Robert and Mary Ellen Hicks, was born on October 7, 1865 at Ladoga, Iowa, and passed away at the University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, November 18, 1944, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 11 days. She was united in marriage Feb 14, 1889, to Jackson Davison who preceded her in death. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her father, mother, five brothers and one sister, she being the last of the family to pass away. For many years she worked for the Women's Benefit Association, traveling most of the time through out the states organizing lodges until her health began to fail, causing her to retire, when she returned to Clarinda where she spent the rest of her life. Surviving her are two sisters-in-law, Mrs Rufus Hicks and Mrs Nora Davison and nephews and nieces. Her membership was in the United Presbyterian church and while unable to attend the services the past year she remained a faithful member. Funeral services were held from the Walker Funeral Home, Tuesday, Nov 21, 1944, at 2 pm, with the Rev Henry Orr Lietman in chage. Piano interludes were furnished by Aletha Hutchings. Interment was in Old Memory cemetery. Casketbearers were Glen Davison, Burl Davison, Loren Davison, Raymond Kelley, Clarence Bales, Elmer Eighmy.
