Mr. Ortmeier was born Nov. 28, 1907, in St. Charles, rural West Point, the son of Bernard and Agnes (Kube) Ortmeier. He attended St. Anthony School and married Anna Maly Nov. 5, 1931. Surviving are two sons, Stan and Vern, both of Beemer; three daughters, Marcella Kalvoda of Lincoln,Celine Beerbohm of Columbus, and Marilyn Spenner of Arras, British Columbia, Canada; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother Henry of West Point; and three sisters, Elizabeth Maly, Martha Kaup and Rose Grewe all of West Point, He was preceded in death by his wife and infant twin sons, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church in Beemer with Rev. Norman Parr officiating. burial will be in the Beemer cemetery. A rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
