He was a member of the St. Mary's of the Rock Church and the Cockshutt Tractor Club. He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Kohlsdorf of Brookville, Charlene Huffmeyer of Napoleon, Mary Lou Giesting of Batesville; sons, John Rennekamp of Sunman, Donald Rennekamp of Enochsburg, Kenneth Rennekamp of Greensburg, Floyd "Bill" Rennekamp, Vernon "Scrub" Rennekamp and David "Pooch" Rennekamp, all of St. Mary's; sister, Hilda DePrisco of Ft. Wayne; 42 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rennekamp; wife, Mary Rennekamp; sister, Helen Rennekamp; brothers, Lawrence and Norbert Rennekamp and one grandson. Visitation services will be on Friday, July 27 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at St. Mary's of the Rock Church with Rev. Brian Esarey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Building Fund.
