Description	:	Known as Frank. Attended UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State College (now NCSU). After Pearl Harbor was attacked, he joined the Navy. As he was already married and with two small children he was not required to enlist but chose to join anyway. He was stationed in Florida during WWII. After the war, he returned to his career as a cotton broker. He enjoyed golf and earned his pilot's license. A 1953 movie called "Island in the Sky", a fictional war adventure, was based on this crew. Frank's father, also, Alonzo Franklin, was born on March 1, 1878. Frank also had a half brother named Daniel Jackson McGuire born 3-14-1920 in Jonesboro, Arkansas and may have been died during WWII. His Grandfather may be Daniel J. McGuire of Georgia #19542680. Frank's stepmother is believed to be Lovis J. McGuire #12626409 (buried in section 8 in JMPC) of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Lovis's first husband may have been Turner Collier #34545999.
