Read More	Funeral Held for Alpha Huus, 94 Funeral services for Alpha Huus, 94, of Hatton, will be held on Friday, November 28th, at 2:00 p.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church at Hatton. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 on Friday morning at the Tri-County Nursing Home and 1 hour before services at the church. She died Monday, Nov. 22nd at the MeritCare Hospital at Fargo. She was born Sept. 2, 1903, in Newburgh Township, rural Hatton, the daughter of the late Ed and Suzanna Johnson. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, John and Thrine Dahl. She attended rural school and grew to womanhood in Garfield Township, rural Hatton. She married Theodore Huus on Feb. 25, 1931 at Portland, N.Dak. The couple farmed and lived in Garfield Township and moved to Hatton in 1962. He died on December 2, 1982. She became a resident at the Tri-County Nursing Home at Hatton in 1994. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and its WELCA. She is survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Arnold (Thrine) Bye, of Hatton, 1 brother, Odin Johnson, also of Hatton, foster brother, Kendall Mork (Eileen) of Hatton, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Erling Johnson, 1 sister, Alma Rendahl, and foster sister, Emilie Moen (Harold). The interment will be held in the St. John Cemetery, rural Hatton. The Bilden Funeral Home, Hatton, in charge of arrangements. Services were held on Friday, Nov. 28th, at 2:00 p.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church at Hatton with Pastor Mark Ostgarden officiating. The organist was Darlene Owen and Paul Moen sang “In the Garden” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Casketbearers were Gerald Bye, John Bye, John Moen, Clyde Pladson, Russell Pladson, Lowell Breiland, and Brent Atkins.--Hatton Free Press, Dec. 4, 1997.
