Description	:	Alpha Lorene Goodson Buchanan 99, went home to be with her Lord on September 8, 2014. She was born May 17, 1915 daughter of John William Goodson and Mandy Margaret Smith Goodson in Crossett Ark. She married Clyde M. Buchanan on September 22, 1936. He preceded her in death November 21, 2002. Alpha is survived by her five children, Ron and Peggy Buchanan Randy and Janice Buchananm Millicent and Charles Wymore Pat and Doug Burns, and Priscilla and Richard Vaughn. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was... She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, She is also preceded in death by three brothers Orville Goodson, Marvin Goodson and Roy Goodson, and four sisters Ollie Shaw, Opal Vineyard, O'Dessa Jaco, and Vergie Daniels . Alpha was a full time homemaker who loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed making quilts, and working in her garden, She accepted Jesus as her Savior at the age of seventeen, and taught Sunday School for children and adult women at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Piedmont Mo. and at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Springfield Mo. Visitation will be Tuesday September 9, 2014 from 6-8p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be held st Rueff Funeral Home in Piedmont Thursday September 11 2014 from 10-11.a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11.m. Burial will be in Yount Memorial Cemetery.
