Crosley was born October 7, 1907 at Verdel, Nebraska to Hans and Julia (Christiansen) Hansen. She died Thursday, August 18, 1983 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 11 days. She attended school at Verdel and graduated from Newman Grove High School. On March 30, 1935 she married John E. Crosley at Rosenburg, Nebraska. She was a teacher and later was an assistant to Knox County School Superintendent, Katherine Tunberg. In 1948 she entered the Postal Service and served as a clerk at the Center Post Office until retiring in 1973. Alpha was a member of the Center UCC Church, was treasurer and a member of the Church Choir. Survivors include stepmother, Mary Hansen, of Sturgis, South Dakota; four sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Verna) Jensen of Columbus, Mrs. Galen (Norma) Plumb of Castletos Hudson, New York, Mrs. Emil (Neoma) Dryak of Verdel and Mrs. Karl (Julia) Williams of Richmond, Va. and one brother, Luther Hansen of Rayward, California.
