She was born on May 19, 1924 in Ewing, Nebraska, the daughter of David and Chloe (Snell) Pollock. Alta graduated from high school in 1941. On June 24, 1951, Alta was united in marriage to Dale Raasch at First Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They were blessed with two children, Ranae and Cindy. Raasch, age 93, of Norfolk, Nebraska Alta died Friday, August 4, 2017, at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk. She was born on May 19, 1924 in Ewing, Nebraska, the daughter of David and Chloe (Snell) Pollock. Alta graduated from high school in 1941. On June 24, 1951, Alta was united in marriage to Dale Raasch at First Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They were blessed with two children, Ranae and Cindy. Alta worked at Glenn Martin Bomber Plant after she graduated from high school. She later worked at Mutual of Omaha. Alta and Dale moved to Norfolk in 1978, and while living there she was employed in retail at Schweser's and at Hy-Vee East. Alta was a member of First Christian Church in Norfolk. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in her flower garden, feeding the birds, cooking, and baking. Alta is survived by: daughters, Ranae (Randy) Brigham and Cindy (Jeff) Horn; grandchildren, Jessica Rosemergy, Amanda Brigham, Alissa Horn and Kristen Horn; brothers, David R. Pollock and Kenneth Pollock; and sister, Alice Busshardt. She was preceded in death by: husband; parents; and brother, Ralph Pollock. Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at First Christian Church in Norfolk. Burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk. Obituary information from Brockhaus Funeral Home of Norfolk, Nebraska.
