She passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, November 19th, 1969, after a long illness, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 30 days. Read More	MILLER, ALTA MAY—Alta May Folden, daughter of Charles and Alice Folden, was born May 20, 1883, near Milligan, Neb. She passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, November 19th, 1969, after a long illness, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 30 days. She attended the country school in the Milligan vicinity. She was married to Alvah Miller February 16, 1910 in Strang, Neb. To this union two children were born, Alice May and Louise Ethel. The family farmed in Chelsea Township for many years, moving in 1949 to Geneva where they had since made their home. In her youth she joined the Chelsea United Brethren Church and later transferred to the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Geneva. Her whole life was devoted to her home and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Alice May, who passed away at birth; two sisters, Mrs. John Ausmus and Stella W. Folden and a grandson, Charles Garrett. She is survived by her husband, Alvah Miller of Geneva; one daughter, Mrs. Carl W. (Louise) Garrett and son-in-law of California; three grandchildren Robert Garrett and wife Joyce of Manhattan Beach Cal., Jean and Rodney Garrett of the home; one great-grandson Randy Todd Garrett; one brother Leonard Folden of Lincoln and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; a large number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 22 at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Paul W. Walker officiating. John Nelson of Omaha sang “Face to Face” and “In the Garden” accompanied by Mrs. Oscar Nelson of Geneva. Pallbearers were Barthold Hofferber, Lowell Heath, Charles H. Miller, Irvin I. Miller and Kenneth Miller all of Geneva and Leo Ochsner of Saronville. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal December 4th, 1969 page 5.
