Description	:	Alta May was born on May 1, 1922 in Douglas, Wyoming, the daughter of Paul and Alta May (Scott) Shaw. She attended schools in Cody and graduated from Cody High School with the class of 1941. She then attended college in Laramie, Wyoming. Alta was united in marriage to Grant Greiman on January 10, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Miles City, Montana. They then purchased the Lost Creek Ranch in 1949 and Alta resided there until the time of her death. Alta was an owner and trainer of race horses. She was an avid gardener, homemaker, seamstress, was the... Read More	Alta May was born on May 1, 1922 in Douglas, Wyoming, the daughter of Paul and Alta May (Scott) Shaw. She attended schools in Cody and graduated from Cody High School with the class of 1941. She then attended college in Laramie, Wyoming. Alta was united in marriage to Grant Greiman on January 10, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Miles City, Montana. They then purchased the Lost Creek Ranch in 1949 and Alta resided there until the time of her death. Alta was an owner and trainer of race horses. She was an avid gardener, homemaker, seamstress, was the bookkeeper for the ranch and loved traveling. She especially loved her daughters and grandchildren. Alta was a member of the Christian Women's Club, Extension Homemakers Club, Glendive Federated Women's Club, Montana Tax Payers Association, Jockey Club and the Montana Thoroughbred Racing Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tom Shaw. Alta is survived by her husband, Grant Greiman, of Glendive; her daughters, Anne Freistone and her husband Ron of Glendive, Karen Reilly and her husband Bob of Stanford, Montana, Katie Gierke and her husband Terry of Miles City, Montana, Sandy Schwartz and her husband Tim of San Francisco, California; one brother, Jim Shaw of Miles City; her grandchildren, Janine Huschka and her husband Gerald, Kathleen Rakes and her husband Stacy, Susan Ceynar and her husband Lance, Erin Kuehn and her husband Ty, Aeric Reilly, Rex Reilly, Casey Gierke, Coby Gierke, Matt Schwartz, Katrina Schwartz and Emily Schwartz; 10 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
