She was born July 29, 1904, in Wapello County to Albert and Lilly Wave Parker Gosney. She was employed by various restaurants in Ottumwa and was a member of Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa. She was born July 29, 1904, in Wapello County to Albert and Lilly Wave Parker Gosney. She was employed by various restaurants in Ottumwa and was a member of Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa. She is survived by a son, Merle Gosney of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Irene Piehl of Kirkville and Patricia Faye Gallentine of Omaha, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Valeta Marie; and two sisters, Alma Goseny [sic] and Ila Bower. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Ottumwa, the Rev. William C. Flewelling officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Ottumwa. Family visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
