Altje attained the age of 88 years, 9 months and 5 days. The following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book. Kaert Plucker was born in Uttum, Ostfriesland, Germany, December 5, 1841. Caroline, Harmke, Dick, John K., Elzina, Minnie and Wessell K. were born to this union. Altje attained the age of 88 years, 9 months and 5 days. The following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book. Kaert Plucker was born in Uttum, Ostfriesland, Germany, December 5, 1841. Both he and Mrs. Plucker were born and reared in Germany, growing to maturity in their native land. Mrs. Plucker, nee Aaltje Franzen Gaspers, was born at Wirdum, Ostfriesland, Germany, June 1, 1845. The couple was married in Germany October 27, 1865 and remained there a few years before immigrating to the United States and coming directly to the Lennox community. The couple farmed in this vicinity for a number of years and in 1921 moved to Lennox where they spent their remaining years. This union was blest with 10 children, eight surviving their parents. These include: Mrs. H. Ertmoed, Wessel Plucker, Mrs. H. Meier, Franz Plucker, Mrs. George Kuper, John K. Plucker, Dirk Plucker, and Mrs. William Smith. Two children preceded the parents in death, Harmke passing away at the age of 19 years and Dirk at the age of 17. Mr. Plucker died December 17, 1927 at the age of 86 years and 12 days. Mrs. Plucker expired March 8, 1935, attaining the age of 89 years, nine months and seven days
