He was the younger son of the late Stanley and Mary (Roop) Barteaux. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lauretta; daughter, Constance (Dennis) Veinotte; grandchildren, Lori-ann (Michael) Esser, Paul (Nicole) Veinotte; great-grandchildren, Grace and Mason Veinotte; sister-in-law, Margaret Barteaux; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the younger son of the late Stanley and Mary (Roop) Barteaux. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lauretta; daughter, Constance (Dennis) Veinotte; grandchildren, Lori-ann (Michael) Esser, Paul (Nicole) Veinotte; great-grandchildren, Grace and Mason Veinotte; sister-in-law, Margaret Barteaux; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Graham; sister, Veva Moorehouse; and brother, Charles. Until a recent move to Tibbetts Home for Special Care, Wilmot, he was a lifelong resident of Mount Hanley, where he was engaged in farming and for a number of years, was a school bus driver. His hobbies were woodworking and collecting antiques, which included developing a museum in the Mount Hanley Schoolhouse. He was a member of Mount Hanley Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in Middleton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, in Mount Hanley Baptist Church, Rev. Bob Billings officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Following the service, a reception will be held in Port George Community Centre. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to Mount Hanley/Port George Baptist Church of charity of choice. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
