Read More	Stryker Disaster Rear End Collision of Toledo & Indiana Cars Two Miles East of Stryker Results in Serious Injury of Seven and Death of at least Two Wednesday Night An accident that has sent a shock of horror over the towns of Fulton and Williams Counties on the line of the Toledo and Indiana Railway occurred last Wednesday night about 11:00 o'clock when T&I Car No 6 crashed into the rear of Car No 4, about two miles east of Stryker and one girl was killed outright, seven other persons very seriously injured, one or more of whom may die as result of the injuries received and some fourteen others received bruises and minor injuries. The cars Numbers 4 and 6 west bound were crowded with young people returning to their homes after having attended the celebration in Archibold. The rear platform of Car No 4 was crowded with young people who were unable to get inside the car on account of the crowd; about two miles east of Stryker Car No 4 stopped to let off a number of passengers and Car No 6 crashed into the rear of the car, pushing in the rear end of the car in such a manner that as one of the doctors expressed it, the legs of the people standing on the platform were "literally mowed off". One girl and one boy, Hazel Balsby, 17, of Bryan and Alva Coy, of Stryker died in Dr Goll's office very soon after the accident. Miss Balsby's companion, a girl of about the same age also of Bryan suffered injuries that necessitated the amputation of a foot and a leg. Some of the more seriously injured were taken to the office of Dr Goll in Stryker; an appeal for doctors was sent to Wauseon and doctors Bennett, Hartman, Maddox and Miller responded and were taken by a special car to the scene of the accident. Two of the injured, one young lady, Grace Kuhns of Bryan and George Martin of Stryker were brought to Wauseon hospital where necessary amputations were made. Doctor EA Murbach of Archbold working with the Wauseon doctors are caring for the injured. All of the injured were young people who had been attending the celebration at Archbold.
