Description	:	LAUREL - Alvena "Al" Behm died peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2002, at the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 85. Al and her late husband, Phillip, were married in Laurel and had resided there since 1935. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Al and her late husband, Phillip, were married in Laurel and had resided there since 1935. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passion was making others happy through her caring, upbeat approach to life and her good humor. She had been a life long member of the Laurel Congregational Church, where she served in numerous charitable functions and enjoyed spending time there with her friends. Her hobbies were centered around her family and friends and included very, very special cooking, along with quilting, traveling and reading. She is survived by her sons, Harley, Denny, and Colin. Her sisters, Clara Benner and Lorene Behm and her brothers, Joe and Gene Zeiler, also survive her. Her extended family includes 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Congregational Church, at 506 S. 5th St., Laurel. A reception in her honor will be held after the memorial service at the church. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her name to the American Heart Association in Billings.
