Description	:	Alvena (Reinking) Evers (1896 - 1978 ) Alvena Evers was born on February 5, 1896, at Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Dora Bielenberg Reinking. She died on Thursday morning, September 28, 1978, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, Iowa, at the age of 82. Read More	Alvena (Reinking) Evers (1896 - 1978 ) Alvena Evers was born on February 5, 1896, at Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Dora Bielenberg Reinking. She died on Thursday morning, September 28, 1978, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, Iowa, at the age of 82. Alvena was raised on a farm and received her formal education in the rural schools in Ida County. She was baptized and later confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Grant Township, in Ida County. On May 15, 1917, Alvena was united in marriage to Otto H. Evers at Denison, Iowa. Together they farmed north of Schleswig in Hayes Township. In 1948, they retired and moved to Schleswig. Otto died in 1963 and Alvena has since continued to make her home in Schleswig. Alvena was a member of the United Church of Christ, Schleswig, for 61 years and an active member of the Women's Guild. In addition to her parents and husband, Alvena was preceded in death by one grandson Mark Paul Claussen and one brother Fred Reinking. Survivors include, one daughter, Leola and her husband E. W. Claussen of Schleswig, one grandson Craig Claussen of Denison, and three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Lafrentz, Mrs. Ella Lenz and Mrs. Harriett Reimer all of Schleswig. Also by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Malinda Reinking of Schleswig and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 30, 1978, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ, Schleswig, Iowa. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Moore officiated at the services. Serving as pallbearers were Walter Gosch, Howard Lenz, Loren Lenz, Milton Wassgren, Charles Evers, Robert Frank and Roger Reinking.
