Funeral services were held Wednesday Nov. 28, 1990 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Dr. Ralph Gregg and the Rev. Wayne Wiggins officiating. Burial directed by Johnson-Graham Funeral Home was in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Mr. Dingle was born October 10, 1909, in Bonneau. Burial directed by Johnson-Graham Funeral Home was in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Mr. Dingle was born October 10, 1909, in Bonneau. He was a son of the late Wallace Dicky Dingle and Frances Broadway Dingle. He was a former member of the Georgetown Police Department and was a former land developer and had owned and operated a lumber business and construction company in Georgetown. Mr. Dingle was a charter member of the Rural Water District of Georgetown County. He was a former chairman of the Water District and had recently been granted an honorary life time membership. He was a charter member and trustee of Lakewood Baptist Church and a member of the Men's Adult Sunday School Class. Surviving are his widow Mrs. Sally Altman Dingle of Georgetown; two sons Alvin A. Dingle Jr or Liberty Hill and Wallace Edward Dingle of Georgetown; one daughter Mrs. Donna D. Draughn of Isle of Palms; two brothers Dickey R. Dingle of Summerville and William Dee Dingle of Marion; eight sisters Mrs. Lou Guerry and Mrs. Hattie Dangerfield both of Monks Corner, Mrs. Mae Williamson of Palmetto Florida; Mrs. Maude Gulledge of Bradonton Fla; Mrs. Rene Turner of Georgetown; Mrs. Beth Evans of Sumter, Mrs. Bobby Smith of Harrisburg PA; and Mrs. Billy Speigner of Summerton; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church.
