Description	:	Alvin Frederick Klemme was born to F. H. and Alma (Kix) Klemme on August 30, 1932. He was baptized in the Zion United Church of Christ and remained a lifelong member. He was very proud to be the Sunday School Treasurer at Zion. He received his education by attending "Mud Swamp" Grant #6 Rural School for 8 years and then graduated from Hubbard High School with the Class of 1952. H. and Alma (Kix) Klemme on August 30, 1932. He was baptized in the Zion United Church of Christ and remained a lifelong member. He was very proud to be the Sunday School Treasurer at Zion. He received his education by attending "Mud Swamp" Grant #6 Rural School for 8 years and then graduated from Hubbard High School with the Class of 1952. Alvin lived on the farm and farmed with his father and brother until his diabetes forced him to give it up. He moved with his parents into town in 1962. He loved to garden and take care of flowers. Alvin liked to be helpful and had a number of places that he liked to be, including John's DX and Midwest Vet Clinic. At the Vet Clinic, he loved helping with small chores and being around the animals. He entered Bethany Manor in 2004 and called it HOME. He enjoyed doing puzzles and helping in the dining room. He was so happy at the Manor and thought so much of the staff and everyone involved with the facility. Death came to Alvin on February 16, 2010 at the Bethany Manor in Story City. In passing, he will join his parents and a sister Margaret Lundt. He leaves one brother Ray and his wife Janie of Hubbard and brother-in-law Paul Lundt of Gladbrook, along with three nieces, two nephews, ten great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.
