Description	:	Alvin Olson, son of Eric and Martha Olson was born February 5th, 1888 at Sheldahl, Iowa, and died January 26, 1947, at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 21 days. He grew to manhood in the Carnarvon community where he spent practically all of his life with the exception of one year which was spent near Carroll, Iowa. He grew to manhood in the Carnarvon community where he spent practically all of his life with the exception of one year which was spent near Carroll, Iowa. On February 27, 1911, he was united in marriage with Minnie Barthman. To this union two sones were born: Clifford Olson near Vail, Iowa, and Elmer Olson of Lytton, Iowa. After his marriage, Mr. Olson farmed for a number of years. Seventeen years ago he began to operate the road maintainer in which work he was employed until poor health made it necessary to discontinue. Although he had enjoyed fairly good health, it was sometime last year when it became apparent that he was suffering a serious affliction. Everything possible was done to make his suffering lighter, but his condition was beyond human help. He quietly passed away Sunday evening, January 26, in his home at Carnarvon. Besides his two sons and loving wife, he leaves to mourn his death, three brothers: Milton Olson of Houston, Texas;Ed Olson of Sac City; Art Olson of Waukee, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs Emma Abbott of Nevada, Iowa, three grandchildren likewise survive him.
