She was born March 9, 1923, in Overly, to Ole and Ella Johnson. She was raised there and graduated from Overly High School in 1941. She received her teaching certificate from Minot State College and began teaching in a one-room country school near Lake Metigoshe. She married Milen Brudwick Nov. 7, 1942. Read More	Alvina Brudwick March 9, 1923 - Sept. 21, 1998 LAKE METIGOSHE ---Alvina J. Brudwick, 75, Bottineau, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in a Bottineau healthcare center. She was born March 9, 1923, in Overly, to Ole and Ella Johnson. She was raised there and graduated from Overly High School in 1941. She received her teaching certificate from Minot State College and began teaching in a one-room country school near Lake Metigoshe. She married Milen Brudwick Nov. 7, 1942. They lived and farmed east of Bottineau in Cordelia Township, Bottineau County, for many years. She also continued teaching in country schools. She obtained her teaching degree August 4, 1967 by attending summer school for two years at Minot State College and began teaching in the Bottineau Public School System in September 1961. She retired from teaching in 1983 and moved to Bottineau a short time after that. Her husband died in 1986. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Bottineau since 1990. She was a member of the Metigoshe Lutheran Church, Lake Metigoshe. She was also a member of the Turtle Mountain Retired Teachers Association. Survivors: daughters, Janet Brudwick, Rugby, Melanie Brudwick, of Tyler, Texas; sons, Dennis and Tom, both of Fargo, Michael, Minneapolis; several grandchildren, and great grand-children; sister, Gladys Guttromson, of Minnesota; brother, Jim, of Casper, Wyo. Funeral: Saturday at 2 p/m/ in Metigoshe Christian Center, Lake Metigoshe, near Bottineau. Visitation: Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon in Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau.
