Hinrichsen, 86, died at the Senior home in Monticello Monday afternoon March 19, 1973, after a brief illness. She was born February 23,1887,in Husem, Schleswig Holstein,Germany, the daughter of Thomas and Magdalena Speiling Hansen. She came to the United States with her family when she was 16 years of age. Hinrichsen, 86, died at the Senior home in Monticello Monday afternoon March 19, 1973, after a brief illness. She was born February 23,1887,in Husem, Schleswig Holstein,Germany, the daughter of Thomas and Magdalena Speiling Hansen. She came to the United States with her family when she was 16 years of age. On August 22, 1907, she was married to Thomas Hinrichsen and they farmed in Jones County in the Center Junction area and later near Anamosa. Mr. Hinrichsen preceded her in death October 8, 1950. She is survived by five children, Hans Hinrichsen of Center Junction, Mildred, Mrs. Roily Luckstead of Olin, Viola, Mrs. Neal Bright of Oxford Junction, Albert Hinrichsen of Marion and Ben Hinrichsen of Anamosa. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and a brother, Wilhelm Hansen in Germany. Beside her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at the Goettsch Funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30p.m. with the Rev. Walter A. Behrens officiating. Interment was in the Wyoming Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ray Nagel, Carl Harms, Robert Lyons, Lonnie Hinrichsen, Milton Luckstead, and Tom Hinrichsen.
