Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Alvina passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Wisner Care Center. Alvina Rosa Obermeyer, was born on June 6, 1916, in Wisner, NE to John and Rosa (Magdanz) Jurgensen. She was baptized October 22, 1916, and confirmed August 13, 1933 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner. She attended Wisner High School where she graduated with the class of 1933. On February 16, 1939, Alvina was married to Clifford Obermeyer in Wisner, NE. They farmed near Wisner for forty years and then retired to their home in Wisner in 1979. Alvina was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner where she was a member of the Lutheran Church Women and she held various offices. She was also a member of the Nifty Neighbors Club. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, gardening, and spending time with the family. Alvina is survived by three children and their spouses, Janice and Dallas Puls of Norfolk, John and Lee Obermeyer of Hoskins, and Jim and Marty Obermeyer of Littleton, CO, eleven grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, and infant son, her parents, and two brothers." Minnick Funeral Home, Wisner, Nebraska.
