Description	:	Mrs. Alvina V. Schlote, mother of Rudolph Schlote, who resides near Creighton, passed away, Friday, January 13 at Fremont, after a lingering illness. She had been in failing health for two years. She was born in Genesee, Ill., September 26, 1866. On January 29, 1899, she was united in wedlock to Edward Schlote at West Point. Following their marriage, they moved to Fremont, where he was employed as a switchman for the C.& N. W. railroad. Schlote, mother of Rudolph Schlote, who resides near Creighton, passed away, Friday, January 13 at Fremont, after a lingering illness. She had been in failing health for two years. She was born in Genesee, Ill., September 26, 1866. On January 29, 1899, she was united in wedlock to Edward Schlote at West Point. Following their marriage, they moved to Fremont, where he was employed as a switchman for the C.& N. W. railroad. After Mr. Schlote passed away in 1901, Mrs. Schlote moved to Knox county on a farm, where she lived until 1927, when she returned to Fremont. Here she resided until her death. She leaves to mourn her departure, three sons, Rudolph of Creighton, Louis of Fonda, N.Y., Raymond of Bloomfield and one daughter, Meta, at home. Another daughter preceded both parents in death. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Albert Schlote of Snyder and Mrs. John Smeall of Orchard; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Fremont on the following Tuesday at 2 o'clock from the Trinity Lutheran church. The last rites were conducted by Rev. William Brueggemann.
