Interment in Our Silent City Cemetery north of Kellogg, Iowa. Alwilda Caroline Dunton was the daughter of Joel Richard and Mary Ann Shull Dunton. She was married to Charles Horace Benson on December 27. 1869 at Brooklyn, Iowa. They were the parents of Florence Lulie and Willard Henry. They moved onto a farm two miles north of Kellogg where they continued to live until 19 years ago when they moved to Kellogg. She was a member in good standing in the Methodist Church in Kellogg at the time of her death and in repy to questions asked by her pastor previous to her death about her Christian experience the same clear note of certainty of saving faith and of the eternal hope was always sounded.
