Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at O'Brien-Straatmann-Apfel Funeral Home in Kearney, Nebraska with the Rev. Ken Fairbrother officiating. She was born on November 26, 1909 to Theodore and Sophia (Lewis) Bomark near Wilcox, Nebraska. She rode in a horse and buggy each day to attend Harmony Rural School at Wil-cox and later attended school in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born on November 26, 1909 to Theodore and Sophia (Lewis) Bomark near Wilcox, Nebraska. She rode in a horse and buggy each day to attend Harmony Rural School at Wil-cox and later attended school in Holdrege, Nebraska. In 1923 the family moved to a farm near Edison, Nebraska where she graduated from high school in 1927. She became a registered nurse from the Green Gables Nursing School in Lin-coln, Nebraska in 1930. She was a special duty nurse and provided nursing to patients still residing in their own homes. Mrs. Danielson was later em-ployed at a Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and at a hospital in Wadsworth, Kansas. Her fiance, Jack Meyer, drowned in a boating accident in Kansas. She married a Merchant Marine Officer, Fred Gerhardt, in 1941. They divorced a few years later. She was later employed at the Holdrege hospital. In 1949 she married Carl Danielson and lived on a farm near Elm Creek, Ne-braska, later moving to Kearney in 1960. Her husband, Carl, died in 1968. She resided at St. John's Care Home in Kearney for some time before her death. Mrs. Danielson helped her siblings during the depression years. She cared for her sister, Lorraine, when the diphtheria epidemic occurred in the 1930's and nursed her back to health. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Danielson, a brother, Vincent Bomark, a sister, Inez Hall, and a daughter-in-law, Carole (Alt-meyer) Danielson. Survivors include a son, Rex, and a daughter-in-law, Twila Danielson of Hildreth, Nebraska; two granddaughters, Colleen Danielson of Kearney, Nebraska, and Stacie Danielson of Fort Collins, Colorado; a great-grandson; a sister, Lorraine (Bomark) Danielson of Fremont, Nebraska, and 10 nieces and nephews. Burial was at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 in Moses Hill Cemetery near Hol-drege, Nebraska. Pallbearers were her nephews, Steve Danielson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Randy Danielson of Carrollton, Missouri, and John Danielson of Weeping Water, Nebraska and a friend, Chuck Wright, of Fremont, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney. O'Brien-Straatman-Apfel Funeral Home in Kearney was in charge of arrangements
