She had been spending the Winter here with relatives and friends. The body will be sent to Garrett, Ind., her former home, for funeral services and interment. Carey Hand is in charge of arrangements. _____ Steuben Rebublican 7 May 1941, p 1 Mrs. Amanda Parks, of Pleasant Lake, died suddenly on Tuesday night in Taft, Fla., where she had been spending some Tim visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. Belle Avery. The message, which came as a shock to members of the family, did not give the cause of her death. Mrs. Parks was born near Hamilton April 24, 1885, and has lived in the county all her life. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cameron and is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Helmuth, of Indianapolis, Mrs. Florence Bourne, of Hartford, Conn., Marie, a student at Ball State Teachers' College, Marybelle, who was with her mother in Florida, and by four sons, Cameron, at Garrett, Rector at Camp Shelby, Miss., Francis, with the marine corps in Hawaii, and Ira at Pleasant Lake. She is also survived by a brother, Leo Cameron, at Hamilton, two sisters, Mrs. Erdine Jackson, at Pleasant Lake and Mrs. Lena Doty, at Brook, and also by one grandchild.
