Description	:	Mrs. Amanda C. (Richey) Polston, age 68, one of the long time residents of the Nevada and windfall communities, succumbed Tuesday evening at 10:30 o'clock at her home in Nevada, after a short illness with pneumonia. She had suffered a severe cold for several days which soon developed into pneumonia. She was thought to be improving very nicely when she had a elapse from which she never rallied. (Richey) Polston, age 68, one of the long time residents of the Nevada and windfall communities, succumbed Tuesday evening at 10:30 o'clock at her home in Nevada, after a short illness with pneumonia. She had suffered a severe cold for several days which soon developed into pneumonia. She was thought to be improving very nicely when she had a elapse from which she never rallied. After death, the body was removed to the S. S. Edwards funeral home in Windfall for preparation, and was returned to the family home Wednesday afternoon to lie in state there until the hour of the services. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Dunkard church southwest of Windfall, with the Rev. Elmer Phipps of Kokomo in charge. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. Friends are welcome to call at the home prior to the services. Mrs. Polston, whose maiden name was Garner, was born December 20, 1867, in Howard county. She was twice married, her first husband being John Richey, whose death occurred in 1914. Eleven years ago she was married to Wesley Polston. Surviving besides the husband are the following children of her first marriage: Frank, Willie and Raymond Richey of Kokomo; Carl and Noah Richey of Nevada; Mrs. Delia Woolen,of Windfall; and Mrs. Maggie Hewitt, of Hemlock. She also has several grandchildren, and one half-brother, John Toff, of Kokomo. A son, Lloyd I. Richey, his wife and son were killed December 16, 1928, when a car in which they were riding was struck by a train. Three other occupants of the car were also killed in this accident. Two other daughters of Mrs. Polston, Daisy and Flossie, also preceded her in death.
