Mrs. Marshall Pruitt, following a two months illness. Mrs. West was born and reared near Poplar Springs and had been a resident of Fairmont for 31 years. She was the oldest member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. West was married to Pinkney West, who died 30 years ago. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Corrie Gibson and Mrs. Marshall Pruitt, both of Fairmont, three sons, Ben West of Moore, Rte. 1, Frank West of Westview and Walter West of Farimont, and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 with Revs. C. C. Nanney, H. J. McAbee and Nathan Fleming, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hendrix and David Farmer, R ay Johnson, J. B. Martin, Marvin B ridwell and Cecil Pruitt. The body is at the home of Mrs. Pruitt and will be placed in the church Tuesday afternoon at 3 to await the hour of service. Wood Mortuary of Greer is in charge of arrangements.
