She was a former Waterloo resident. Mrs. Padget was born May 15, 1874, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Catharina Michel. She was married to John Padget in Waterloo February 3, 1897. She was a former Waterloo resident. Mrs. Padget was born May 15, 1874, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Catharina Michel. She was married to John Padget in Waterloo February 3, 1897. They farmed in Black Hawk County until 1944, and resided at 1515 Burton Ave. for a time after that. Survivors include two sons, Howard, of 163 Polk St., and Cecil, 137 Trail Ave., Evansdale; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Shea, 163 Polk St., Mrs. Don Allensworth, 1060 Newton St., and Mrs. Mark Baty, of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Anna Klinefelter, 902 Wellington St., and a brother, George Michel, of Rt. 1, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
