Cooper, 68, died at her home, 115 West Tenth street, at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday night after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Cooper had been ill since early summer but was bedfast for only about six weeks. Mrs. Cooper was born in Cedar county, Iowa, July 25, 1862, and had lived in Muscatine county several years, coming to Muscatine from Nichols to make her home three years ago. She married J. B. cooper who survives her. Also surviving are three children, Mrs. May Seaton, of Muscatine; Mrs. Pearl Seaton, and Clark Rhodes, both of Pasadena, Calif., one brother, Will Slater, of Anita, Ia., one sister, Mrs. H. C. McCormick, of Mechanicsville, Ia., and five grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held at the home at 1:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon and at 2:30 o’clock at the Methodist episcopal church of Nichols with the Rev. Ira B. Hawley, pastor of the United Brethren church, officiating. Burial will be in the Nichols cemetery. The Meyers Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Cooper, who died at her home Tuesday night after an illness of several weeks. The Rev. Ira B. Hawley, pastor of the United Brethren church officiated. Following the services at the home of the cortege moved to Nichols where further services were held in the Methodist church and burial was made in the Nichols cemetery. Cooper, who died at her home in Muscatine Tuesday night after an illness of several weeks, were conducted at the Methodist church here Thursday afternoon at 2:30 by the Rev. V. A. Bloomquist of What Cheer, formerly pastor here. Clark Rhodes and Mrs. Pearl Seaton of Pasadena, and Mrs. May Seaton of Muscatine, children of the deceased and other relatives attended the services. The pallbearers were, W. R. Schmitt, C. R. Heizer, G. E. Metcalf, C. L. Miller, S. D. Cozad and W. E. Pike. Burial was in the Nichols cemetery.
