Read More	The Wayland Globe, Wayland, Allegan, MI May 20, 1886 "SUDDEN DEATH BY APPOPLEXY Tuesday this community was shocked by the very sudden death of Amsey Prindle, father of Harvey Prindle of this village, at the advanced age of 85 years. Mr. Prindle came here about a week ago to visit his son, and since that time had been feeling unusually well. Tuesday he had been doing a little work in the garden, and at noon ate a very hearty dinner and went out in the back yard and sat down upon a pile of wood, and in few moments fell forward upon the ground and expired before assistance could reach him. Doctors were summoned, but to no avail. Mr. Prindle was born in Clinton county, N.Y., and came to Michigan about 33 years ago and settled in Martin township, where he resided until the death of his wife 9 years ago, since which time he has resided with his sons. The relatives have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in this and Martin townships. The funeral will be held at the residence of H. Prindle at 10 a.m. today, conducted by Elder M. B. Rawson, and the remains will be intered in the Smith cemetery, Martin." The Smith Cemetery is also known as the East Martin Cemetery. There is no headstone for Amasa PRINDLE there. Sarah, aka Sally, died on Oct. 5, 1877 and was buried in East Martin Cemetery in Martin, Allegan, MI. Aged 71 yrs & 3 mos. She was the daughter of William SLITER and UNKNOWN.
