Description	:	Mrs. Ambia Fowler, daughter of Hiram and Margaret McNarry Alexander, was born May 27, 1870, near Rose Hill, and passed away early Tuesday morning, February 19, at the Inman Nursing Home in Oskaloosa, at the age of 92 years. On September 17, 1887, she was married to William Fowler and they resided on a farm near Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler later moved into Delta where he passed away on December 7, 1949. They became the parents of ten children, five sons, Vern, Oren, Glen, Art, who passed away on December 10, 1962, and Homer in July 1958; and five daughters, Mrs.... On September 17, 1887, she was married to William Fowler and they resided on a farm near Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler later moved into Delta where he passed away on December 7, 1949. They became the parents of ten children, five sons, Vern, Oren, Glen, Art, who passed away on December 10, 1962, and Homer in July 1958; and five daughters, Mrs. Neil Wood, Mrs. Hazel Klett, Mrs. Neva Schultz and Pearl and Ada who died during childhood. Mrs. Fowler is survived by 30 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving Mrs. Fowler, are two brothers, Tom Alexander and John Alexander; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Butler, and Mrs. Edna Short. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William; her sons, Art and Homer; two daughters, Ada and Pearl, and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Hackley and Mrs. Gertrude Douglas; two brothers, Alva Alexnader and William Alexander. Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Christian Church in Delta. Funeral services were held Friday, February 22, at the Christian church in Delta, with the Rev. Fred A. Moore officiating. Burial in White Oak cemetery at Rose Hill. Casket Bearers were Gerald Fowler, Harold Wood, Dwight Fowler, Roger Klett, Richard Schultz, Leo Fowler. ~Reference: Sigourney Review, March 6, 1963
