He married Geraldine McDonnell, June 22, 1937, in Villa Nova. He farmed in the Delmar area and was a member of St. Patrick's Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Al (Donna)Determan of DeWitt, Mrs. Gene (Patricia) Held of East Moline, and Mrs. Mel (Diane) Seng of Davenport; four sons, Duane and Dean, both of Maquoketa, Alan of Goose Lake, and Dennis of DeWitt; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Vivian Goodall of Delmar; and two brothers, Paul of Charlotte, and Ronald of Goose Lake.
